This particular traverse on Mount Kenya is widely recognized as the most frequently chosen route. While camping is optional, there is the convenience of accommodation in mountain huts along the entire journey.
While there are favorable odds of successfully reaching the summit, individuals who may find the challenge strenuous have the alternative of traversing via the easier summit circuit trail. By doing so, they can regroup with fellow hikers at Minto's Camp or, alternatively, opt to spend an additional day at Shipton Camp to acclimatize more effectively before tackling the summit.
